ICT Division again in top 10 in APA assessment

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division has once again ranked in the top 10 among various ministries and Division of the government in the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) assessment. The remaining nine entities are Ministry of Public Administration, Electricity Department, Agriculture Ministry, Finance Department, Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Department, Energy and Mineral Resources Department, Water Resources Ministry, Planning Department and Rural Development and Cooperatives Department.

The award was given at the 'Annual Performance Agreement (APA) Signing and APA & Integrity Award Ceremony-2023' on Wednesday (July 19).

APA signing and APA and Purity award ceremony was organized at Shapla Hall of Prime Minister's Office. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the event as the chief guest and presented the APA and Shuddhachar awards and rendered valuable directions.

The current government introduced 'Annual Performance Agreement' or APA in the financial year 2014-15 with an aim to increase transparency and accountability and bring dynamism in government activities. This agreement is signed every year between the Cabinet Secretary as the representative of the Prime Minister and the Senior Secretary and the Secretary as the representative of the minister in charge of the respective ministries and departments.

Shuddhachar (Integrity) Awards are also given every year at the APA signing ceremony of Ministries and Departments. Satyajit Karmakar, Secretary, Planning Department, was given the 'Shuddhachar Award, 2022-23' in recognition of the practice of integrity among the senior secretaries and secretaries at the individual level during the financial year 2022-23.

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division has once again topped the list of ministries and departments in the government in 2021 in the evaluation of the fiscal year 2021-2022 from the Cabinet Division.
